Data Engineer (Offshore)

The company is currently looking for a Data Engineer for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions.

Requirements

• 7 - 10 years of experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, BE Computer Science, or Engineering
• Professional Certifications: Google Cloud Certified – Professional Data Engineer or equivalent
• Ability to design and build scalable data pipelines
• Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Ability to work with structured and unstructured data
• Understanding of data governance and security
• Ability to support AI/ML model deployment and data preparation
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data orchestration tools

Job Responsibility

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines to support AI banking initiatives
• Collaborate with data scientists to prepare and transform data for model training
• Develop and maintain data lake and data warehouse solutions
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms
• Integrate data from core banking systems, digital channels, and external sources
• Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency
• Support real-time and batch data processing using modern data frameworks
• Implement data governance policies and metadata management
