As a Data Engineer Consultant, you will design, develop, and manage data solutions that drive data generation, collection, and processing. You will take ownership of critical engineering components—including data pipelines and ETL flows—while maintaining data quality and enabling robust insights. You will collaborate across multiple teams as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), influencing strategic decisions and ensuring seamless delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for large datasets, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure data integrity and consistency, implementing validation and monitoring mechanisms.
- Develop innovative, high-performance data solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Engage with product teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
- Serve as an SME and guide technical decisions while mentoring team members on best practices.
- Monitor data pipelines for performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements for scalability and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 8–12 years in data engineering with strong ETL and data pipeline expertise.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related analytical field.
- Advanced proficiency in data engineering, data processing, migrations, access, and pipeline development.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and modern data frameworks/tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Hadoop).
- Proficient in ETL tools and processes with the ability to design scalable and efficient data architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data storage technologies.
- Proven ability to work with multiple teams to identify requirements and deliver comprehensive solutions.
