Data Engineer

About the Job
Design and deliver governed data products, pipelines, semantic models, and analytics assets using the company Business Data Cloud and the company Datasphere. Translate business data and analytics requirements into scalable, governed data solutions. Integrate data from the company systems (S/4HANA, BW, HANA) into unified enterprise data products, following the company architecture principles and clean-core standards. Build dashboards, reports, and Insight Apps using the company Analytics Cloud, connecting to semantic models and working with stakeholders to create trusted analytics solutions. Develop and optimize pipelines for analytical workloads (including OLAP) to support reporting, analytics, and AI. Maintain data governance (lineage, metadata, data quality) for production readiness, collaborating with AI architects and developers to align data for AI delivery.

Requirements

• 3–5 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, enterprise BI development, or enterprise data platform implementation.
• Proven track record delivering data solutions for production analytics environments.
• Hands-on experience with the company Datasphere or the company BW.
• Exposure to the company Business Data Cloud and the company Analytics Cloud.
• Experience building data pipelines, semantic models, datasets, and governed data products.
• Strong SQL skills and analytical workload design (OLAP).
• Familiarity with scripting tools for data engineering; exposure to Python data libraries (e.g., pandas) is a plus.
• Understanding of data lineage, metadata management, and data quality practices.
