Data Engineer

The company is seeking a Data Engineer with strong experience in Python development, particularly in building production data pipelines with tools such as pandas, PySpark, or equivalent. The ideal candidate will possess solid SQL skills for complex queries, data transformations, and performance tuning, and have experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes at scale. A good understanding of the Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and modern data lake/lakehouse design patterns is essential. Familiarity with data orchestration tools, cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and both relational and non-relational databases is required. The candidate should also have strong problem-solving skills to debug complex data pipeline issues.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (On-site)

Work Conditions: Contract, 3 months with possible extension

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong Python development skills with hands-on experience in building data pipelines
• Solid SQL skills for complex queries and performance tuning
• Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes at scale
• Understanding of the Medallion architecture and modern data lake/lakehouse design patterns
• Experience with data orchestration tools
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases
• Strong problem-solving abilities

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to data quality tooling such as Informatica IDQ, Microsoft Purview, or Great Expectations
• Experience with Informatica EDC or similar tools for data cataloguing
• Familiarity with data governance platforms such as Informatica Axon
• Knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools for data visualization and reporting
