In your role as a Data Engineer, you will directly influence game production, data analytics, business, and go-to-market strategies. You will be responsible for building a cloud-based data processing and storage platform capable of handling data from a few to millions of users worldwide. Your expertise will ensure that data processing and storage are reliable and efficient, employing cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate closely with data science, finance, and revenue stakeholders, utilizing state-of-the-art analytics tools to achieve these goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy automated data pipelines.
- Document, test, and deploy Data ETL/ELT processes.
- Architect and implement data schemas/models to provide clean, scalable data for analysis.
- Create ingestion processes for new data sources.
- Maintain and develop data alerting infrastructure to quickly address production issues.
- Monitor data processing efficiency and propose solutions for improvements.
- Understand tradeoffs regarding performance, reliability, scalability, and cost of data pipelines.
- Collaborate with production and analytics teams to prioritize data engineering work that maximizes value for players and the company.
Qualifications & Key Skills:
- 3+ years of Data Engineer experience, preferably in a technology or gaming company.
- Strong knowledge of analytical and development languages such as SQL, HQL, Python, etc.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions like AWS or Azure.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) for effective data sharing.
- Ability to analyze complex business issues and provide recommendations.
- Understanding of database concepts and architecture.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience with user-centric products, ideally in the gaming industry.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM-related fields or equivalent.
