We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to analyze and assess data concepts and new data sources, providing business insights and integrating them into the company AI platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solve complex problems using Python coding skills.
- Design, build, and implement new data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Conduct web crawling, data cleaning, annotation, ingestion, and processing.
- Read and collate complex data sets.
- Maintain data pipelines and focus on process improvement for efficiency.
- Utilize Python, SQL, and other tools for optimal data extraction and transformation.
- Provide insights into key business metrics by developing analytical tools from data pipelines.
- Assist with ad hoc data needs for the business.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) regulations and data governance policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of programming experience with solid skills in Python, Shell, and Java.
- Strong communication skills and corporate capacity.
- Experience in web crawling and data cleaning.
- Familiarity with solution architecture, data ingestion, query optimization, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud services (AWS, EC2, S3, etc.).
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL, and understanding structured and unstructured data.
- Knowledge of best practices in optimizing data processing systems.
- Experience in dimensional modeling and familiarity with machine learning and data mining techniques.
