Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to analyze and assess data concepts and new data sources, providing business insights and integrating them into the company AI platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solve complex problems using Python coding skills.
• Design, build, and implement new data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Conduct web crawling, data cleaning, annotation, ingestion, and processing.
• Read and collate complex data sets.
• Maintain data pipelines and focus on process improvement for efficiency.
• Utilize Python, SQL, and other tools for optimal data extraction and transformation.
• Provide insights into key business metrics by developing analytical tools from data pipelines.
• Assist with ad hoc data needs for the business.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) regulations and data governance policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of programming experience with solid skills in Python, Shell, and Java.
• Strong communication skills and corporate capacity.
• Experience in web crawling and data cleaning.
• Familiarity with solution architecture, data ingestion, query optimization, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud services (AWS, EC2, S3, etc.).
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL, and understanding structured and unstructured data.
• Knowledge of best practices in optimizing data processing systems.
• Experience in dimensional modeling and familiarity with machine learning and data mining techniques.
