Data Governance Manager

The successful candidate will join the GAC Group’s Information Management team, aiming to implement policies, processes, organizational changes, and technologies to optimize and automate the management and governance of information. Primary goals include overseeing Information Governance products and teams, such as master data management, data quality management, metadata management, and data governance, to support organizational objectives defined by business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management responsibility for Information Governance products.
• Develop relationships with business leaders to demonstrate the value of Information Governance.
• Manage staff in Information Governance, enhancing their skills and addressing needs and skills gaps.
• Collaborate with business leaders to align Information Governance products with strategic goals.
• Act as Product Manager for strategic and BAU digital transformation projects.
• Govern data and information across GAC Group for timely, accurate decision-making.
• Educate and train business users on the significance of information governance.
• Manage products and teams related to master & reference data management.
• Ensure adherence to information governance policies and monitor compliance.

Job Requirements:

• Technical Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in Information Governance.
  • 2+ years of experience managing product development teams.

• Educational Qualification:

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in data science, computer science, engineering, or similar fields.

• Professional Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Strong product management skills.
  • Experience in analyzing and prioritizing business requirements.
  • Proven ability to take initiative in resolving business challenges.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies.

• Specialist Knowledge:

  • Expert in MDM, DQM, metadata management, and data governance methodologies.
  • Practical experience in implementing technical solutions using platforms like Informatica.

• Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all corporate levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
  • Cultural awareness in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written).

• Computer Aptitude:

  • Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure and DevOps.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and modeling tools (e.g., MS Visio).

Language Requirements: Good English spoken skills are essential.
