This position is critical in implementing a data management framework, including the implementation of data management policies and procedures across the organization. The Data Governance Project Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data operationalization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise in data management framework implementation.
- Manage the project plan, budget, risk, and implementation of policies, standards, and procedures.
- Understand DAMA and industry best practices in data management.
- Communicate complex data concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with data governance tools and technologies, preferably Informatica DEQ, EDC, AXON, etc.
- Execute budget planning and implement projects successfully, including managing at least 2-3 large engagements into production go-live.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in data management and governance within the banking and financial services industry.
Essential Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiatives and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is beneficial.
