Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability
- Develop and enforce data quality metrics and policies for continuous improvement
- Coordinate data-related compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
- Conduct data assessments and audits to verify adherence to governance policies
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote data governance awareness
- Provide strategic recommendations for data management improvements across the organization
- Utilize data governance tools to manage metadata and data lineage effectively
- Analyze datasets to identify patterns, issues, and opportunities for enhancing data quality
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to align data governance objectives with organizational goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
- At least 5-7 years of experience in data governance or data management roles
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
- Experience with data quality management and data stewardship activities
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
- Proficient in using data governance tools and technologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
