Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures specific to the airline domain.
- Utilize Collibra to create and maintain a comprehensive data catalog, business glossary, and data lineage documentation.
- Implement and manage data quality rules and monitoring processes within Azure Data Governance, identifying and resolving data quality issues.
- Work with Databricks Unity Catalog to ensure data assets are organized, secured, and accessible for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data owners and data stewards to define data ownership, accountability, and data quality metrics.
- Support the integration of data governance best practices into data-related projects within the Azure environment, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Contribute to data literacy initiatives, providing training and support to business users on data governance principles and tools.
- Monitor and report on data quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Participate in data governance audits and compliance activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data governance and data quality, particularly within the cloud and aviation sectors.
Technical Skillset:
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with Collibra, including data catalog, business glossary, and data lineage functionality.
- Strong understanding of Azure Data Governance concepts and tools.
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with other Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, including data modeling, data warehousing, and database concepts.
- Experience in the airline industry is a significant advantage.
