Position

The company is seeking a Data Management Consultant to design and implement data management strategies, including governance, quality, and lifecycle practices to ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and business value across the organization. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders, data owners, governance, and technical teams to establish frameworks, improve data quality, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives aligned with best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess current data governance practices and define clear roadmaps for improvements.
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures to enhance quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with data owners to define stewardship roles and accountability.
  • Conduct assessments to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in data quality.
  • Monitor compliance with governance policies and measure initiative effectiveness.
  • Conduct training and workshops to promote awareness of governance principles and best practices.
  • Support lifecycle management initiatives including classification, retention, privacy, and security.
  • Ensure governance alignment across systems, platforms, and business processes.
  • Support the implementation of governance tools and technologies.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years in data governance or management roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting quality assessments and governance evaluations.
  • Familiarity with governance tools and enterprise data management practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Native Arabic speaker with fluent English skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • CDMP – Certified Data Management Professional
  • DGI-P – Data Governance & Stewardship Professional
