Position Title:
Data Management Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of the bank’s current data management practices, systems, and processes to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Perform data privacy risk assessments, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the organization’s data privacy posture.
  • Analyze complex data sets to extract valuable business insights that drive decision-making and strategy development.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to the development of data strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and integrity through effective data stewardship practices and governance oversight.
  • Conduct data profiling and validation exercises, resolving discrepancies and anomalies to maintain accurate data sets.
  • Analyze the data lifecycle, contribute to data model development, and participate in designing data flows for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data lineage to ensure clarity and transparency.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of data-related tools (e.g., Axon) to optimize their effectiveness in data management practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to address data-related issues promptly and effectively, contributing to improved overall data quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data management, with a strong understanding of data governance principles, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to work with complex data sets to derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data issues.
  • Experience in documenting data processes, creating business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
  • Familiarity with data management tools such as Axon or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP) will be advantageous.
