Data Migration Specialist

Join one of the UAE’s largest government-grade digital transformation programmes as a Data Migration Specialist. In this role, you will lead data migration and validation across complex legacy and enterprise systems, ensuring secure, accurate, and compliant data transition.

You will be responsible for the design and execution of end-to-end data migration processes, collaborating with business analysts, developers, and system owners to migrate and validate large volumes of data for enterprise use.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Analyze legacy systems and define migration strategies and data models.
• Design and implement ETL workflows using SQL, Python, or ETL tools (Talend, Informatica).
• Perform data cleansing, profiling, and quality assurance checks.
• Collaborate with technical teams for mapping and transformation validation.
• Execute test migrations, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and reconciliation reporting.
• Support cutover planning and go-live execution with minimal disruption.
• Maintain detailed documentation and audit-ready records of all migration processes.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• 5+ years of data migration experience in large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, SSIS).
• Experience migrating from legacy ERP or database platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong understanding of data governance and validation frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud migration tools (AWS DMS, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
• Exposure to government or regulatory data projects is advantageous.
