The goal is to build an ecosystem of business-owned and self-describing Data Products, enabling various Analytics, BI, Operational, Regulatory, and other data-dependent use cases. This new data strategy adopts a federated approach where the data landscape is segmented into Data Domains & Sub-domains, each with a comprehensive data product roadmap.

The Data Modeler will be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting data design patterns and data modeling solutions, which encompass relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. These efforts support enterprise-wide data product implementation and facilitate all forms of data-dependent use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including operational data stores (ODS), data marts, and data lakes on target platforms (SQL/NoSQL).
- Implement business and IT data requirements via new data strategies and design standards across all data platforms and relevant data tools.
- Define and govern data modeling and design standards.
- Manage enhancements of existing data models and optimize data query performance.
- Collaborate with Data Domain Specialists and Data Product Owners to understand the business context for data.
- Create structures/schemas for target data as per business requirements.
- Provide technical specifications to development teams based on final target schema.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in information management, Computer Science & Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred banking domain knowledge and multi-market experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in relational and dimensional modeling or analytics, utilizing various data platform technologies and ETL protocols.
Core Skills:
- Expertise in data modeling principles (conceptual, logical, and physical data models).
- Knowledge of optimal data model creation including Star & Snowflake Schemas, Data Vault Methodologies, and normalization methods.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., SAP Power Designer, ERWin).
- Knowledge of industry reference data models (e.g., IBM BFMDW, Teradata FSLDM).
Additional Requirements:
- Robust knowledge of data systems and querying tools like SAS/SQL.
- Preferred knowledge in HADOOP, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SAP HANA.
- Collaborative and capable of strong stakeholder management.
