Data Modeler

As a Data Modeler, you will be responsible for designing the enterprise data model and mapping multiple source systems into a canonical model (UDM/GIM) utilizing an Informatica stack. Your role will involve implementing data quality measures through source profiling, transformation rules, and handling granularity mismatches and derived/composite fields.

You will develop and optimize ETL/data pipelines for seamless data movement across systems and manage databases to ensure data integrity and performance. In addition, you will implement best practices in data modeling and data architecture, work with cloud platforms to build and deploy scalable data solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives. Familiarity with Spark and Kafka for data processing and analytics will be essential, as you will ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and transformation of large-scale datasets.

Key Requirements:

• Strong SQL skills
• Strong foundation in Data Engineering (DE) including medallion architecture and SCDs
• Experience with any cloud platform (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
• Strong understanding of logical and physical data modeling (beyond just star schema)
• Good knowledge of industry modeling such as Party, Event, Location, Classification, and Resource Item supertypes

Technical Skills:

• Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, SQL Developer Data Modeler)
• Experience with ETL and data pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms
• Database management experience

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in canonical/industry reference models, such as IBM IIW-style supertypes
• Experience mapping multiple disparate sources into one enterprise model
