As a Data Privacy & Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting data mapping and inventory exercises to identify personal data and assess associated risks. You will develop and implement data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with applicable regulations, such as GDPR, UAE PDPL, and CCPA. Key responsibilities include coordinating with various departments to integrate data privacy requirements into business processes, assessing and implementing Privacy by Design principles across software development, and conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).

Your role will also include leading the implementation of data privacy tools to automate processes such as data discovery and classification, as well as monitoring compliance with data privacy regulations and preparing reports for Senior Management. Promoting a culture of data privacy awareness within the organization and participating in cross-functional projects related to data privacy and protection are also essential components of this position.
Qualifications:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in data privacy and protection, data security, or a related field
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, ISO 27701, or similar (preferred)
- Experience in a Technology or Consulting firm with exposure to application development supporting data privacy practices
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, UAE PDPL, CCPA) and industry best practices
- Familiarity with data privacy tools (e.g., BigID, OneTrust, Securiti.ai)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adherence to strict privacy protocols
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
