Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement privacy-by-design and default principles into systems, processes, and products.
- Develop and maintain data protection controls, including encryption, anonymization, access control, and secure data storage solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, UAE Personal Data Protection Law, etc.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, and compliance teams to embed privacy and security into the product lifecycle.
- Perform privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Monitor and audit data usage to detect and address privacy risks and breaches.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans related to data privacy and security breaches.
- Provide training and awareness on data privacy best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate and integrate privacy-enhancing technologies and solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in data privacy, security engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, UAE PDPL, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with data protection tools and technologies (e.g., DLP, encryption, IAM).
- Experience conducting PIAs and DPIAs.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP, or similar are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
