Data Privacy Specialist

As a Data Privacy Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that client policies comply with codes of practice such as PDPL (Personal Data Protection Law). You will draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures in consultation with key stakeholders within the organization. Additionally, you will promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Experience in Personal Data Privacy
• Ensure compliance with data protection codes of practice such as PDPL
• Draft and amend internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Inform and advise on matters related to data protection
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance and address potential issues
• Maintain records of all data processing activities
• Serve as point of contact for data protection authorities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data privacy
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or Information Management from a recognized program
• Knowledge of industry-leading data governance and data management practices
• Practical experience in data privacy practices and managing enterprise information assets
• CDMP certification
• CIPP certification is a plus

Additional Information

• Fluency in Arabic & English is highly desirable
