Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

Contribute to the development of the Data Management Office business plan, ensuring alignment with the company strategy.
Develop the operational plan for Data Protection and Privacy in line with the Data Management Office business plan and Risk & Analytics strategic plan.
Implement plans and provide input to enable the achievement of Data Protection and Privacy goals that support the company’s overall strategic plans.

Budget Management

Discuss Data Protection and Privacy budgeting requirements with top management and provide input to the budgeting process.
Ensure effective utilization of the Data Protection and Privacy budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
Investigate and propose implementing initiatives that result in positive financial impact for Data Protection and Privacy while mitigating financial and operational risks.

Data Privacy and Protection Planning

Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of data privacy and protection to integrate and implement international best practices in daily operations.
Develop Data Protection and Privacy strategy in line with updates in the kingdom’s privacy laws and NDMO requirements.
Acquire an in-depth understanding of data and systems used across the company to devise control metrics that ensure compliance with the data protection regime and safeguard the confidentiality of personal data.
Direct the development of data privacy and protection policies, standards, and procedures while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
Review and approve developed data privacy and protection plans to ensure the improvement of the company’s sensitive data and information access protection.
Promote a culture of awareness of data privacy by reviewing and validating data privacy and protection awareness programs to ensure that internal stakeholders have a clear understanding of data protection legislations.

Data Privacy and Protection Management

Follow up on the implementation of data privacy and protection plans and review identified data issues related to evaluation, integration, and automation of data to intervene when necessary for resolution.
Recommend areas for improvement and guide the development of new projects to minimize data issues.
Supervise the implementation of improvement action plans to ensure enhancement of data privacy and protection.
Review and approve developed reports and data assessments to track the company’s compliance levels with data standards and policies.

People Management

Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent.
Guide, mentor, and support direct reports to execute duties according to set policies and processes.
Develop individual performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise the team, and provide regular feedback on performance.
Establish a high-performance working environment and promote the company values.
