As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to help establish and implement our data protection and privacy strategy in the UAE. The DPO will be key in ensuring that Revolut's products and processes comply with regulatory requirements while facilitating the best outcomes for our customers.

Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Revolut UAE’s data protection and privacy strategy, including policies, procedures, risk management, and controls.
  • Oversee the management of data protection and privacy risks and controls.
  • Deliver training programs to enhance awareness of data protection and privacy within the organization.
  • Report on the effectiveness of the data protection and privacy program to senior management and relevant committees.
  • Monitor data subject rights requests and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and partners.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Protection Officer with deep knowledge of UAE data protection laws.
  • Strong engagement history with UAE regulators.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements surrounding data protection and privacy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • A solution-oriented approach to privacy and data protection challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise various internal teams and regulators effectively.

Nice to Have:

  • Additional qualifications in privacy and data protection.
  • Experience with coding languages (SQL, Python, Java).
  • Background in advising fintech and payments.
  • Knowledge of international data transfer requirements.
  • Experience in compliance risk management.
