Expectations for this role include driving data governance processes and standards by providing project leadership. This involves planning, directing, and executing operations utilizing agreed-upon governance management methodologies to ensure governance principles and objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and enhance data quality standards, frameworks, templates, and processes.
  • Lead the enforcement and implementation of data quality processes and standards at both regional and market levels, influencing a culture of data quality awareness and accountability.
  • Conduct regular reviews and monitoring of data quality key metrics and targets to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support to market data stewards and relevant stakeholders in adopting and implementing data quality best practices effectively.
  • Offer training sessions and mentoring to enhance data quality in local markets.
  • Ensure quality assurance of work delivered by region and market governance teams.
  • Monitor data quality health reports across regions and markets, proactively identifying potential areas for improvement and deploying preventive measures to elevate overall data quality standards.
  • Oversee and monitor the implementation of data quality remediation plans.
  • Participate in the regional data governance council to address unresolved data quality issues and provide updates on the roadmap.

Job Qualifications
We are looking for professionals with the following required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Management Information Systems, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in data quality operation management.
  • Knowledge of data governance and governance tools (Collibra, Unity Catalog, Ataccama).
  • Technical skills in at least one of the following languages: SQL, Python, R, Spark.
  • Knowledge of technology architecture.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive change across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive experience in project management, including the delivery of complex IT projects and services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Azure environments, such as Databricks and ADF.
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
  • Experience successfully driving the end-to-end operation of new processes.
  • Establish the right governance and leverage stakeholders while holding them accountable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including networking and teamwork abilities, combined with excellent negotiation and communication skills within both IT and business communities.
  • A continuous desire to seek opportunities for learning, skill-building, and sharing insights both internally and externally.
