Position

As a Data Quality Manager at Etihad, you will be responsible for maintaining operational datasets and reports while ensuring their robustness, availability, and high quality. Your primary goal will be to develop and implement a comprehensive data quality strategy that aligns with the airline’s operational objectives. You will lead the data quality management efforts, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across the organization, taking full ownership of the quality of all dashboards, reports, and underlying datasets used by the Ops division.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage the data quality team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and enforce data quality standards and processes, supporting data-driven decision-making by providing high-quality data and actionable insights.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of master data models and reusable data assets.
  • Work with IT to translate business requirements into technical specifications for new datasets.
  • Ensure governance of operational datasets and PII management according to corporate policy.
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits, monitoring performance metrics and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Lead efforts in data cleansing and identify opportunities for data quality improvement.
  • Communicate dataset quality metrics to relevant stakeholders and upskill team members on data quality and governance.
  • Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems and upgrades.

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Experience in developing and enforcing data quality standards and processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, AWS).
  • Familiarity with code management tools like GitHub.
  • Experience within the aviation/travel industry in operational areas is a plus.
