Data Science Manager

About
Build long-term relationships with large GCC clients, including client business and Data Science teams. Manage the full spectrum of the VCA project journey, starting from sales, proposal building, pricing, project kickoff, execution, story building, to post-project implementation support. Develop and strengthen GCC Data Science risk capabilities and develop new risk solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing analytics and model-based solutions for the company's issuer, acquirer, merchant, fintech clients addressing challenges such as market opportunity sizing, prospect targeting, cross-sell/upsell, cross-channel marketing implementation, risk, fraud, and general portfolio optimization programs.
• Find opportunities to automate the project pipeline of recurring projects using the latest Data Science techniques.
• Review, direct, guide, and inspire the analytical work of junior members in the team.
• Manage workload for self and any direct reports, providing prioritization guidance for project flow to improve process efficiency.
• Champion internal requirements around Model Risk Management, the company's Analytics Rules, and Global Privacy standards around client delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years of expertise in applying Machine Learning solutions to business problems.
• Post-graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Operational Research, Computer Science, Informatics, Economics, or Engineering.
• Good understanding of Payments and the Banking industry, including card verticals.
• Strong people/project management skills and experience.
