Data Scientist

The company is seeking a Data Scientist based in the UAE to join the Business Analytics team. This role will involve evaluating and influencing growth strategies in the Middle East & Africa. You will collaborate with a diverse team of analysts, data scientists, business leaders, and engineers, contributing to the development of data skills and efficient work processes. You will have access to extensive data and the opportunity to creatively derive insights and strategies that shape user experiences with audio and video content.

Work Conditions: Full-time, On-site with flexibility for remote work.

What You'll Do:

• Develop data-driven strategies to increase the company's user base and subscribers.
• Identify user growth opportunities in the SAMEA region and utilize experimentation for growth.
• Create and communicate impactful recommendations to enhance product offerings and optimize user messaging.
• Build scalable data pipelines and dashboards for performance tracking.
• Collaborate with business partners to discover growth opportunities.
• Design and implement comprehensive tests, ensuring tracking of relevant metrics.
• Present findings to senior collaborators to influence business direction.

Who You Are:

• A Data Scientist/Analyst with a minimum of 2 years of experience in data insights using tools such as Python/R and SQL.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud data platforms (BigQuery or GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with AI tools (LLMs and coding assistants) is advantageous.
• Intellectually curious and creative, with a keen interest in business and data.
• Experienced in collaborating with partners to measure the impact of initiatives and present findings coherently.
• Background in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Comfortable working in a globally distributed team, with occasional international travel.
• Relevant experience in a consumer tech or product company is a bonus.
