Data Scientist

About the Job:
The company is the leading on-demand food and non-food delivery platform in MENA, operating across 8 countries and processing hundreds of millions of orders annually. As a Data Scientist on the New Ventures team, you will be the analytical brain behind launching new verticals and products across various markets. This role offers the opportunity to partner directly with product and business leaders to shape strategy, design experiments that impact millions of users, and establish the data foundations for smarter decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Spend approximately 50% of your time on deep analysis and experimentation (A/B testing, multivariate experiments).
• Dedicate 20% on data modeling and quality (building machine learning models).
• Use the remaining 30% to collaborate with stakeholders, frame questions, set KPIs, and present actionable insights.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or similar). A postgraduate degree is a plus but not required.
• 2-5 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong SQL skills to write complex queries and optimize performance.
• Proficiency in Python or R for reproducible analysis.
• Expertise in experiment design and full analysis lifecycle experience.
• Understanding of dimensional data design and product analytics metrics.

Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required. Additional languages relevant to the MENA region may be beneficial.
