Position

As a Data Scientist – AI Engineer, your role will be to undertake Data Science and AI projects by designing and applying generative AI and LLM-based techniques, alongside machine learning, problem structuring, and data analysis to solve complex business problems across the company portfolio, with a focus on timely delivery and ownership of results.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver analytics and data science projects using statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques
  • Translate data into clear insights and recommendations for business stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, models, and analytical tools
  • Analyse KPIs and large datasets (structured and unstructured) to identify trends and opportunities
  • Apply the most appropriate techniques (ML, optimisation, AI/LLMs) to solve business problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across data, engineering, and business domains
  • Support deployment, testing, and continuous improvement of solutions in production environments
  • Work in iterative delivery cycles, adapting quickly to changing requirements

Requirements

  • MSc/PhD in a relevant field (data science, operations research, mathematics, AI, statistics, etc.)
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in the analytics ecosystem
  • Experience with:
    • Programming languages (SQL, R, Python)
    • LLMs, GenAI, including prompt engineering and RAG patterns
    • Azure AI stack (Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence)
    • DevOps frameworks (Git, CI/CD, Docker)
  • Experience working with DevOps & engineering teams to integrate models and workflows
  • Experience building reusable libraries/packages and production-grade DS solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong team player with a problem-solving mindset
  • Experience delivering advanced analytics in large, complex organisations
  • Ability to challenge and validate analytical outputs
  • Focus on driving business value and long-term stakeholder relationships
  • Capability to grow teams and maintain culture/strategy alignment
  • Experience with agent-based / multi-step AI workflows
  • Exposure to vector databases, embeddings and semantic search
  • Familiarity with MLflow, Databricks, or LLM observability frameworks
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end data / AI pipelines from ingestion through to deployment
  • Experience scaling an AI solution in production
  • Leisure travel / destination management industry experience
  • Analytics domain certifications
