Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of NLP models and LLMs.
- Apply problem-solving skills to assist in product and solution development.
- Support in pretraining and fine-tuning LLMs and task solvers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models, monitor outcomes, and iterate on solutions.
- Conduct data analysis and exploratory research to uncover patterns and trends.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of appropriate algorithms and methodologies for NLP problems.
- Document and communicate results of model development and experiments.
- Stay updated with advancements in NLP, LLMs, RAG, and related fields.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Arabic (Native Arabic speaker) is a must; Knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic grammar and morphology is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist specialized in NLP or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of machine learning, NLP, LLMs, and deep learning techniques.
- Expertise in Python's NLP libraries such as NLTK, SpaCy, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ML system design with a focus on product development.
- Hands-on experience in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Desirable experience in Research & Development (R&D).
- Experience in LLMs pre-training, fine-tuning, and building LLMs, with demonstrable results.
- Experience in building Advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models, Information Retrieval, Embedders, and Re-rankers training and finetuning.
- Familiarity with model optimization, serving and scalability; experience in OCR and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
- Must demonstrate humility, excellence, relevance, and a strong sense of ownership.
