Data Scientist

Capgemini Engineering, a global leader in engineering services, is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team. The role involves collecting and preprocessing data from various sources, applying statistical methods to analyze data trends, and developing machine learning models to solve specific business challenges. Responsibilities include validating findings through hypothesis testing, implementing and fine-tuning algorithms, and assessing model performance through various metrics. The Data Scientist will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that data science solutions align with business needs and present findings through compelling data visualizations, effectively communicating complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and preprocess data to ensure it is clean and ready for analysis.
• Analyze data trends and patterns using statistical methods.
• Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models.
• Conduct hypothesis testing to validate findings.
• Collaborate with domain experts and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on advancements in data science and experiment with new tools to improve model performance.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with Llama AI, Vertex AI, or Edge AI.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Strong understanding of statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication skills and critical thinking abilities.
