The QC data team operates at an unprecedented scale, handling millions of daily transactions and working with thousands of partners. This role is pivotal as data underpins every delivery, influencing strategic decisions that impact grocery delivery across the Middle East. We are cultivating a culture focused on analytics, ensuring that product and business decisions are firmly grounded in data.
As a Data Scientist on the QC Hub team, you will be the analytical force driving one of the company’s fastest-developing verticals. Your responsibilities will include partnering with product and business leaders to impact strategy, designing experiments that resonate with millions of users, and establishing the data foundations necessary for informed decision-making.
Successful Outcomes:
- First 90 Days: Become familiar with your domain, cultivate relationships with product and business partners, navigate the data landscape, and complete your first actionable analysis.
- By 6 Months: Assume the role of a key analytical partner for your domain, designing and executing experiments independently while having your recommendations regularly implemented by stakeholders.
- By 12 Months: Significantly enhance decision-making quality in your domain, create or refine data models relied upon daily by the team, and mentor newer members on analytical best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform ambiguous business inquiries into structured analytical problems.
- Maintain and construct dimensional data models in BigQuery.
- Design, conduct, and evaluate experiments (both A/B and multivariate).
- Develop automated dashboards and reports that are valuable for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipeline quality.
Qualifications:

Education: A degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics, economics, or computer science) or equivalent experience; a postgraduate degree is advantageous but not mandatory.

Must-Haves:
- Proficient in SQL, capable of crafting complex queries.
- Expertise in reproducible analysis using Python or R.
- Familiarity with experiment design and the full analysis lifecycle.
- Knowledge of data modeling and product analytics.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data science, analytics, or a quantitative field.

- Experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform.
