Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates from engineering, products, business, and marketing to deliver data-powered solutions.
  • Clearly communicate technical results and methods to a diverse range of external clients.
  • Analyze and extract insights from complex datasets using regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and machine learning techniques.
  • Develop and apply new machine learning techniques to enhance the company's solutions.
  • Create data pipelines and ingestion engines for Natural Language Understanding and/or Risk Management, and contribute to existing engines at the company.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and define challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Plan and execute the development of solutions from data gathering to informed decision-making.
  • Stay informed on new frameworks and technological advances to boost the company's efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in data science or similar fields involving ML/AI model development (over 2 years for B.S. holders and over 1 year for M.S. holders).
  • More than 2 years of programming experience in object-oriented programming, particularly in data manipulation using Python or similar languages.
  • Solid understanding of statistics and probability, including Bayesian methods and conditional probability.
  • Applied experience in machine learning, including conducting model experiments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or GitHub.
  • Preferred experience in SQL or NoSQL programming, as well as knowledge of big data technologies, such as Spark.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and expertise in Natural Language Understanding and/or Risk Management applications.
  • Familiarity with containerization frameworks, such as Docker, and research experience in optimization and natural language processing (NLP).
