We are searching for a strategic and inquisitive Data Scientist to join the company's Data Science team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address problems, define them mathematically and statistically, scope projects in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, and derive insights that foster business and product improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teams from engineering, products, business, and marketing to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Clearly communicate highly technical results and methodologies to a variety of external clients.
- Analyze complex datasets through regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and other machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights.
- Develop and apply new machine learning techniques for the company's solutions.
- Create data pipelines and ingestion engines for Natural Language Understanding and Risk Management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to articulate challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
- Plan and execute the development of solutions from data gathering to intelligent decision-making.
- Stay informed about new frameworks and technological advances to enhance the company's efficiency.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist or in similar fields involving ML/AI model development.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and data manipulation using Python or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of statistics and probability, including Bayesian methods.
- Practical experience in machine learning and model experimentation.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or GitHub.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL is preferred.
- Knowledge of big data technologies, such as Spark, and deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch.
- Expertise in applications related to Natural Language Understanding and Risk Management.
- Familiarity with containerization frameworks like Docker.
- Research experience in optimization and Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a plus.
