Data Scientist

About the Job: The Data Scientist will drive the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities through the application of advanced machine learning techniques. Responsibilities include overseeing the data analytics lifecycle, from data preprocessing and modeling to implementation and performance monitoring, ensuring adherence to technical and timeline specifications. The role involves applying advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build, maintain, and improve multiple decision systems, design experiments, and test business hypotheses.

Key responsibilities also include championing the integration of machine learning technologies (SAS required, with intermediate proficiency in Python) into business operations, facilitating ongoing monitoring and maintenance of deployed solutions, and developing innovative approaches to solve business problems using analytics. The ideal candidate will communicate results and methodologies effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; additional degree or certifications in data science/analytics preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or a related field using SAS EG 8.3 or above, SAS Viya, and Python.
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages, particularly SAS Base and EMiner.
• Hands-on programming experience in Python.
• Experience working with the Dataiku platform for production is required.
• Knowledge of Azure Databricks and AWS is a plus.
• Deep understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and artificial intelligence principles and techniques.
• Expertise in cloud technologies and architectures for machine learning development, with hands-on experience in SAS, Azure Databricks, and Dataiku.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and provide practical solutions aligned with business strategies.
• SAS and Dataiku certifications are an added advantage.
