The Opportunity:
The company is looking for a qualified and proficient Data Scientist to develop and deliver AI-powered capabilities for public safety solutions and products. This role will focus on large language models (LLMs), agentic & conversational AI, and retrieval-augmented generation to extract insights, summarize information, and support decision-making in high-stakes operational environments. The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation AI workflows, ensuring outputs are accurate, explainable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Innovate, design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents and LLM-powered solutions.
- Develop agentic systems capable of interacting with APIs and reasoning over structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, MLOps engineers, and software engineers to implement agentic systems.
- Develop evaluation frameworks to measure model and agent performance.
- Stay aligned with the latest research and emerging AI/ML technologies.
- Engage with stakeholders and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Comply with relevant organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI, data science, computer science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in AI/NLP development.
- Hands-on experience in LLMs, prompt engineering, and conversational AI frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, experience with PyTorch.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Hugging Face, embeddings, and agentic AI frameworks.
- Proficient with Docker, API development, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and deploying autonomous AI systems in production environments.
- Exposure to ethical AI frameworks, compliance, and explainable AI techniques.
