Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Modelling: Conduct in-depth analysis of large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify actionable opportunities for improvement.
- Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and algorithms addressing challenges within the aviation industry.
- Optimization and Automation: Refine and optimize machine learning models for improved accuracy and scalability while exploring automation opportunities.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to co-create innovative solutions that deliver business value.
- Research and Development: Stay updated on advancements in data science, AI, and aviation technology to drive continuous innovation.
- Communication: Effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Aviation Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably in aviation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, neural networks).
- Experience in operational research (linear programming, resource allocation, network optimization).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Cloud Service Providers (GCP, AWS, Azure), ideally with Databricks.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Knowledge of aviation operations and industry-specific challenges is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
