Position

We are hiring for a Data Services & Storage Presales for Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh, to join our Middle East & Africa Presales Team. In this role, you will partner with sales specialists to offer HPE’s storage solutions to customers to help them achieve their desired business outcomes. Your role as Presales is to act as the trusted advisor to your customers, positioning solutions across our wide portfolio, including our HPE Alletra MP range and HPE Zerto, alongside our file, object, and backup and recovery solutions. We are looking for someone who is able to build strong relationships, has strong technical acumen, and enjoys presenting to and consulting with customers. You’ll benefit from a solid ecosystem in the country, and also more broadly, as part of an overall UKIMEA organization, partnering across various functions day to day.

Work Conditions: This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced knowledge of the company's portfolio, articulating proposals, and ensuring customer's business and technical needs are being met.
  • Identifies key risks to ensure the customer's business and technical requirements are met, detailing key value points for the rest of the account team.
  • Translates the functional design of a solution into a technical design and architecture that can be scaled to accommodate growth.
  • Tracks industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging this knowledge with the customer’s technical environment.
  • Participates in deep-dive discussions and articulates the value proposition, defining key differentiators, and drafting high-level solution designs.
  • Proactively build the pipeline by identifying opportunities (e.g., enhancements, unmet or unrecognized needs, up-selling, and cross-selling opportunities) within the account.
  • Develops and nurtures professional working relationships with the customer technical teams and key executives, based on an understanding of the customer's ecosystem, business needs, and how HPE can deliver value and business outcomes.

Education and Experience

  • First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications. Advanced degree in technology preferred.
  • 4–8 years of technical experience in IT with a focus on technical consulting and solution selling.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Well-developed experience participating in solution configurations and creating demos and proofs-of-concept (POC) to meet customer requirements.
  • Well-developed understanding of company solution offerings and portfolio of products and services.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and storytelling.
  • Well-developed business and financial acumen with an understanding of functional responsibilities of various customer business roles.
