About the Role
Join a global multi-energy company committed to operational excellence and reducing environmental impact. As part of a complex international project, you will contribute to the AMIRAL petrochemicals expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which integrates with the existing SATORP refinery. The project is pivotal for fully integrated production sites, marking an investment exceeding $10 billion.

Responsibilities

1. Data governance and stewardship

   • Implement the approved AMIRAL data governance model within the assigned scope.
   • Maintain data ownership, stewardship, technical custody, validation, and approval responsibilities.
   • Document critical data objects, definitions, business rules, sources, uses, and quality expectations.
   • Support governance reviews, audits, and action plans.

2. Data quality and controls

   • Define and operate checks for data completeness, validity, uniqueness, consistency, integrity, timeliness, and traceability.
   • Establish and apply acceptance criteria and quality thresholds with Engineering stakeholders.
   • Produce quality reports identifying missing, invalid, duplicated, or inconsistent records.
   • Log, prioritize, assign, track, and close issues with evidence.
   • Recommend preventive controls at source.

3. Contractor and vendor data exchange

   • Coordinate recurring submissions with EPCC Contractor Data Managers and engineering teams.
   • Verify submissions follow approved templates, formats, tagging conventions, and required attributes.
   • Provide or obtain timely clarification to reduce rework and delays.
   • Load or coordinate accepted data into the Digital Twin environment.
   • Maintain an auditable register of submissions, rejections, comments, and approvals.

4. Digital Twin and master/reference data

   • Maintain package data in the AMIRAL Digital Twin and related engineering-data environment.
   • Apply the approved Asset Reference Data Library, master data model, classes, and tag rules.
   • Route AMIRAL-specific model changes through validation and change control.
   • Support mappings, transformations, and controlled bulk uploads.
   • Coordinate platform issues, backups, and data-security requirements.

5. Reporting, support, and handover

   • Maintain weekly and monthly reporting on submissions, data quality, backlog, progress, and risks.
   • Support package reviews, audits, and cross-package consistency checks.
   • Train and support users on templates, quality expectations, and Digital Twin processes.
   • Prepare governed, protected, and maintainable data for commissioning, operations, and final handover.
   • Capture lessons learned across the AMIRAL Data Steward network.

Accountabilities

1. Provide a consistent and traceable data set enabling AMIRAL Digital Twin use cases and downstream databases.
2. Protect project data and preserve usability and maintainability through execution and handover.
3. Ensure findings are evidenced, communicated, assigned, and followed to verified closure.
4. Escalate material data-quality, schedule, security, or ownership risks promptly.
5. Maintain an audit trail of submissions, checks, decisions, changes, and approvals.
6. Comply with HSE, information security, confidentiality, and records-management requirements.

Context & Environment
The AMIRAL project, developed in collaboration with Saudi Aramco, is a flagship megaproject consisting of various EPCC packages linked to the existing SATORP refinery. Situated in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, the project includes a mixed-feed steam cracker producing 3.5 MT/y of chemicals, with comprehensive utilities and buildings supporting operations.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience

  • Engineering, data management, information systems, maintenance, operations, or a related technical qualification.
  • Oil and Gas, petrochemical, or major capital-project experience involving engineering data and technical databases.
  • Experience with engineering authoring tools, EDMS, completion/commissioning systems, CMMS, maintenance, or production databases.

• Technical Capabilities

  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability for cleansing, reconciliation, formulas, queries, and controlled bulk files.
  • Ability to prepare dashboards and visual reporting using Power BI or equivalent tools.
  • Practical understanding of data quality, data models, master/reference data, metadata, lineage, and controlled exchange.
  • Experience with AVEVA, Hexagon, Navisworks, engineering databases, or Digital Twin platforms is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret engineering lists, tagging specifications, data requirements, and contractor deliverables.
