Data Strategy & Governance Lead

As AI adoption accelerates, enterprise customers running SAP ERP systems need more than just infrastructure — they require trusted, governed, and regulation-aware data foundations. Kagool is seeking a visionary Data Strategy & Governance Lead to join our team in the UAE. This role is instrumental in helping large organizations build AI-ready data environments through scalable governance models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define enterprise-wide data strategy and governance frameworks tailored for SAP-centric organizations.
• Align data governance policies with international and regional privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPL).
• Develop and maintain data taxonomies, cataloging structures, and metadata frameworks.
• Support AI transformation readiness by embedding scalable and sustainable data governance practices.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders across IT and business functions to enable trusted, insight-driven decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in enterprise data strategy, governance, or architecture roles.
• Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting data privacy and protection.
• Experience implementing governance over SAP data landscapes (e.g., S/4HANA, BW, SAP Data Services).
• Proficiency in metadata management, data cataloging tools, and classification frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, with a preference for hybrid SAP environments.
• Ability to drive regional projects and engage with C-level stakeholders across the Middle East.
