Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of software, from analysis through production and support.
- Enforce engineering standards across MENAT markets, ensuring consistency in service delivery.
- Maintain controls and compliance throughout the engineering lifecycle, focusing on auditability and operational resilience.
- Promote innovation by maturing advanced data capabilities and adopting cutting-edge technologies (including GenAI, modern data/streaming, cloud-native patterns).
- Develop and guide engineering teams, providing technical direction and making key technology decisions.
- Collaborate across various teams to deliver comprehensive data processing, analytics, and visualization solutions.
- Support the establishment and scaling of the engineering team in Guangzhou, ensuring effective collaboration.
Experience & Qualifications:
- A graduation degree is required for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit.
- Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams within a regulated environment, preferably in financial services.
- Strong leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of simplifying complex engineering topics for diverse audiences.
- Experience in enhancing platform resilience and improving operational outcomes.
- Technical proficiency in data platforms, data architecture, and modern data technologies (e.g., GCP, AWS).
- Hands-on experience with programming/scripting in Python and/or Java, and familiarity with tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and container technologies.
