About the Role
This position involves hands-on design, development, and optimization of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence systems. The primary responsibility includes detailed designing of the processes and integration for extracting, cleansing, transforming, and loading data into the Data Warehouse using engineered systems and ETL tools, specifically ODI and Informatica. The role requires a strong understanding of overall business requirements to effectively integrate them into the design. It is essential for the candidate to possess ETL design and integration skills to extract data from various source systems, both on-premise and cloud applications such as E-business Suite, Oracle Retail Applications, Oracle Hyperion, CRM, Taleo, etc.

Responsibilities
- Develop logical and physical design of Data Warehouse to ensure design consistency and integration with existing application architectures.
- Maintain and communicate processes and standard practices related to the design, development, and implementation of Data Warehouse and BI application solutions and patterns.
- Foster and encourage Data Warehouse solution reuse within on-premise and cloud applications.
- Research and evaluate Data Warehouse, BI, and system integration technologies, products, and solutions, making recommendations on technology introduction, phase-out, and retirement.
- Define data element requirements, including history, timeliness, and frequency of data.
- Support Cloud Application initiatives and develop integrations for on-premise and cloud applications.
- Test Data Warehouse and BI to prepare for, administer, and validate results of unit, vendor, component integration, system acceptance, deployment readiness, and user acceptance testing to ensure conformance with business, functional, and quality requirements.
- Design, deploy, and install Data Warehouse and business intelligence software and infrastructure according to business requirements and technology evolution.
- Perform maintenance of Data Warehouse and BI infrastructure through activities such as patching, upgrading, troubleshooting to maximize performance.
- Conduct periodic backups for applications and databases to ensure data availability and mitigate risks of data loss.
- Ensure performance optimization for Data Warehouse and BI infrastructure through configuration reviews and identifying improvement areas.
- Ensure high availability of Data Warehouse and BI applications through scheduling maintenance activities to sustain system performance with limited unplanned interruptions.
- Design and develop automated, complex, and efficient ETL processes to enable business intelligence reporting.
- Manage data security by designing database and application infrastructure in alignment with security requirements; managing user access and monitoring compliance to mitigate security risks.
- Monitor Data Warehouse and BI infrastructure and ETL processes to ensure data availability with accuracy through appropriate ETL and enterprise management tools.
- Support other business functions with specific reporting by gathering requirements and building Data Warehouse capability to enhance decision-making insights.
- Ensure compliance with data security and integrity policies by monitoring database access and other actions to maintain integrity and legal compliance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for all systems and servers to support users and for internal reference.

Job Requirements
Education
- BSc in Computer Science; preferably a Master’s in an information technology-related field.
Experience
- 8 - 10 years of experience in relevant fields.
