Database Administrator

About the Job
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other database technologies. You will be responsible for database backup and restore functions, including scheduled tests of disaster recovery (DR) availability. This role also involves MS SQL production database performance tuning and participation in SQL code reviews for application teams to enforce SQL coding standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role
• Advanced skills in Oracle 19c+, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM
• Expertise in SQL optimization and schema tuning
• Experience in hybrid cloud database setups
• Knowledge of Ansible or Terraform for automation
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard database management practices and methodologies

Other Qualifications

• An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Professional certification in database administration
