Key Responsibilities
- Configuring and maintaining FortiGate and Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
- Defining security policies, NAT rules, and Web Filtering.
- Managing Client-to-Site and Site-to-Site VPNs.
- Analyzing logs and responding to security incidents (IPS/IDS).
- Managing Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and Hybrid Identity sync (AD Connect).
General Responsibilities
A. Strategy and Planning
- Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section related to policies, procedures manual, delegation of authority, systems user manuals, and standard forms, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section’s strategic, budget, procurement, and operational plans to ensure alignment with departmental and sector strategies and objectives, and organizational mission and vision.
- Ensure to meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
B. Operations
IT Governance and Strategy:
- Assist in implementing IT operational standards across the authority, including regular communication and budgeting to achieve maximum efficiencies in IT operations.
- Assist in developing IT policies, procedures, and operational standards for IT infrastructure in accordance with industry best practices.
IT Infrastructure:
- Assist in designing and developing technical infrastructure, ensuring continuous updates in accordance with IT policies and procedures, and industry standards to support business continuity.
- Assist in monitoring the performance of IT infrastructure using proactive monitoring systems and respond to technical malfunctions immediately.
- Assist in the implementation of IT disaster recovery plans to ensure backup, availability of information, and business continuity.
- Assist in implementing policies for cloud-based systems, including maintaining firewalls and ensuring service uptime.
- Assist in evaluating business requirements and designing compatible and commercially viable solutions for the organizational cloud environment.
- Assist in planning and deploying cloud resources while monitoring performance for service availability and financial reporting.
- Provide input in the categorization of cloud resources and assist in reviewing consumption to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in monitoring administrators’ access to the cloud environment and providing reports to management for proper control.
- Work closely with end users to resolve technical queries per the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and incident urgency.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Department to select vendors to meet operational needs.
- Assist in preparing reports that provide cloud performance information to management.
Data Center:
- Assist in implementing Data Center/server room standards and procedures, including managing HVAC, UPS, and Electrical systems.
- Assist in daily inspections, upgrades, installations, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems to support business operation in accordance with policies and standards.
C. Talent Management and Development
- Ensure completion of required training and certification programs to stay current with job requirements.
- Obtain timely performance reviews and ensure set KPIs are met.
- Stay updated with information relevant to the role to achieve standard performance levels.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing to build team capabilities and performance.
- Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in line with the Emiratization strategy.
D. Corporate
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines across all functions.
- Prepare section-related correspondence to ensure professionalism and accuracy.
- Document and archive section records as per relevant policies.
- Respond to section-related queries and provide support to organizational units and employees.
- Optimize work efficiency through the use of relevant technologies.
- Demonstrate compliance with organizational values and ethics to foster a value-driven culture.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability in processes and practices.
- Contribute to the timely preparation and submission of reports to meet quality standards.
- Cooperate in implementing relevant health and safety legislation and policies.
E. General
- Performance should reflect academic qualifications, specialization courses, employee job level, and productivity levels.
- Required academic and professional certifications should be acquired within the specified period per the Individual Development Plan.
- Perform tasks independently unless directed to delegate them.
- Ensure teamwork, collaboration, and dedication in duties performed.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant field.
Professional Experience:
- 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
