Position

As a Datacenter Technician at Oracle, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting the Data Center build-out, go-live readiness, and post-go-live day-to-day operations. Your role will involve providing technical support for JED1 (3 MW) and JED2 (6 MW) Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data centers, including hardware repairs, network and cable management, audits, rack installations, and ad-hoc projects as required. You will be responsible for delivering effective technical support and installations, including break-fix tasks, cabling, and rack deployments. Additionally, you will prioritize ticketing queues and manage installations according to internal policies and service level agreements, while providing 24x7 site coverage for Oracle OCI data center sites.

Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time, 24x7 support (16x5 shifts/on-call)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems).
  • Familiarity with data center M&E equipment and mission-critical operations environments.
  • Valid driving license and ability to reach the Data Center site within 60 minutes.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in cramped or elevated spaces.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills (oral and written).

Key Skills:

  • Strong structured cabling skills and basic knowledge of data center design including electrical and cooling operations.
  • Experience with systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Servers), hardware repair, networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP), and IT Hardware concepts.
  • Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams as well as independently.
  • A strong customer service orientation and reliable problem-solving skills.

This position involves a significant amount of direct customer support and requires adherence to health and safety processes at all times.
