Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying causes of issues and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption.
- Execute post-installation quality checks, ensuring grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are compliant with safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Decommission hardware for straightforward changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, rebuilds) with minimal supervision.
- Follow established procedures to report and escalate incidents to relevant management and engineering specialists.
- Assist and guide other technicians with complex tasks, providing a supportive team environment and sharing knowledge.
- Complete required training aligned to the role and workload while gaining hands-on experience.
- Demonstrate accountability and ownership for service quality and user experience, embodying our culture and values.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, and experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Relevant certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
