Position

As a Microsoft Datacenter Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments while also being responsible for troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment, in addition to handling hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes according to Standard Operating Procedures. Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying causes of issues and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption.
  • Execute post-installation quality checks, ensuring grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are compliant with safety protocols and deployment standards.
  • Decommission hardware for straightforward changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, rebuilds) with minimal supervision.
  • Follow established procedures to report and escalate incidents to relevant management and engineering specialists.
  • Assist and guide other technicians with complex tasks, providing a supportive team environment and sharing knowledge.
  • Complete required training aligned to the role and workload while gaining hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership for service quality and user experience, embodying our culture and values.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, and experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
