This role involves repairs, technical support, and field service activities related to departmental operations planning and execution within a technical discipline. The position functions with some autonomy, adhering to established policies and focusing on achieving acceptable quality, volume, and timeliness standards while allowing modifications to procedures and practices where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Snag list technical clearance upon System Project delivery to the client until project closure.
  • Classify SAT Snag list into missing items, configuration issues, tickets, and bugs.
  • Liaise with Project Manager regarding any missing hardware.
  • Perform minor configuration corrections on-site; coordinate with the Engineering team for major issues.
  • Implement recommendations and solutions on-site for tickets and bugs; engage site services for system reinstallation and raise tickets for new bug detections.
  • Provide customer support for all DCS-related issues to external and internal customers.
  • Create business opportunities from the installed base.
  • Practical knowledge of DS AGILE, GPG, G500/100, D2x, C264, and legacy systems.
  • Hands-on experience with DCS system configurations, database creation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Functional knowledge in system architecture, networking, and network component configuration including switches, firewalls, and routers.
  • Acquire DCS system troubleshooting experience; collect necessary logs and traces for investigation.
  • Offer full IEC61850 communication support for the company IEDs configuration with the company/non-company DCS systems.
  • Create L3 cases and follow up with COE.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Substation Automation experience with IEC61850 Cyber Security and related protocols.
  • Legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Required Characteristics

  • Effective communication skills with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong knowledge of the company / ALSTOM DCS systems.
  • Proficiency in the Arabic language.
  • Capability to autonomously perform system database configuration, testing, commissioning, and snag clearance.
  • In-depth understanding of DCS System Architecture, system descriptions, hardware specifications, data lists, and HMI views.
  • Comprehensive understanding of substation operations and processes.
  • Knowledge of IEC61850, Modbus, DNP3.0, IEC101, IEC-103, and IEC-104 protocols.
  • Ability to quickly identify and rectify on-site problems while driving corrective actions.
  • KSA Car Driving License is required due to expected travel within the Kingdom.
