As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will help customers make the most of their solutions by providing exceptional technical support and engineering solutions across open source technologies, including Ubuntu Server, OpenStack, and Kubernetes. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an open source technologist who enjoys solving problems under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of Linux virtualization using Libvirt/KVM, containers, and Kubernetes to support customized solutions.
  • Act as a technical authority in popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, Corosync/Pacemaker, MongoDB, MySQL, and Apache.
  • Provide advice on deployed architecture and implement solutions for complex problems to guide customers in successful data-center operations.
  • Communicate regularly with the customer team about ongoing issues.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university; an undergraduate degree in a technical subject is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in virtualization, cloud (primarily using KVM or OpenStack), containers (Docker, LXD/LXC, or Kubernetes), storage technologies, and cloud computing.
  • Professional experience with OpenStack and/or Ceph is a strong plus.
  • Open source development or scripting experience.
  • Extensive customer support experience is essential.
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
