In this role, you will work on a small team to define and build the frontend and/or backend of a business intelligence application that enables users to navigate, analyze, and explore vast amounts of data. We seek an eager, fast-learning software engineer with strong collaborative problem-solving skills. This position requires the ability to take complex, loosely defined ideas and develop elegant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, modern, scalable, and maintainable code for our web application.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture/design discussions.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance developer experience and tooling.
- Engage in hands-on coding that operates over large data clusters daily.
- Define technical approaches for sprint items in conjunction with PM, UX, and Product Ownership.
Key Skills and Experience
- Background in Software/Computer Engineering, with potential internship or co-op experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and experience in consuming and creating REST APIs.
- Familiarity with writing automated tests (unit or integration tests).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly in a remote environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Emotion).
- Familiarity with charting packages (e.g., D3, Highcharts).
- Experience with component libraries like MUI.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills may be advantageous.
