Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct design consultants to ensure coordination and consistency between design and construction phases.
- Oversee the execution of Design Management Scope of Works under the framework agreement.
- Identify and document scope changes as per the change management plan.
- Lead design progress meetings with consultants and clients; actively participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Prepare regular reports outlining task order progress, opportunities, and blockers.
- Manage design risks by updating the risk register, liaising with consultants and clients to develop mitigation measures.
- Support the procurement team in preparing requests for proposals and invitations to tender.
- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager and commercial teams to resolve any issues related to resources, quality, and scheduling.
- Assist the Commercial Manager with evaluating consultants’ variations, claims, and extensions of time claims.
- Champion Continuous Quality Improvement by reviewing process efficiencies and making recommendations for improvements.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field with typically 20+ years of related work experience, including at least 10+ years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Ability to work within established processes and timelines.
- Previous experience in a Project Management Consultancy role with multiple consultants and clients in large programs.
- Professional membership in a recognized relevant organization is desirable.
- Proficient in engineering software such as AUTOCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
- Strong supervisory/managerial capabilities, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively.
Language Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
