Design & Estimation Engineer – KNX

About the Role / About the Job
Responsible for designing, estimating, and supporting KNX-based building automation and control systems. This includes preparation of technical designs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quotations, and essential project documentation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design KNX-based building automation and control systems.
• Prepare system architecture, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Develop BOQs, material take-offs, and project cost estimates.
• Select suitable KNX devices, sensors, actuators, controllers, and accessories.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations based on project requirements.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
• Program and configure KNX systems using ETS software.
• Conduct site surveys and verify technical requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, MEP teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project handover.
• Prepare technical submittals, datasheets, method statements, and as-built documentation.
• Track project quantities, costs, variations, and procurement requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications and applicable KNX standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in KNX design, estimation, programming, and commissioning.
• Strong working knowledge of ETS software.
• Experience preparing BOQs, quotations, technical submittals, and cost estimates.
• Good understanding of building automation, lighting control, HVAC integration, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and project specifications.
• Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
• UAE experience in KNX or building automation projects will be an advantage.
