Design Interface Engineer

We are seeking a Design Interface Engineer with verification experience to join Bechtel Corporation. In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine the work scope and interfaces for a project’s civil/structural/MEP aspects. Your responsibilities will include leading design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural/MEP components and processes to meet the unique and complex requirements of the project.

Major Responsibilities:

• Schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of civil/structural/MEP engineering work.
• Participate in the design, development, and modification of civil/structural/MEP components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs).
• Design structures based on knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering.
• Analyze problems with conflicting design requirements and propose workable solutions.
• Evaluate the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques, and difficult coordination requirements.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs for proposals, forecasts, and change orders.
• Complete Civil/Structural/MEP Interface documentation.
• Support project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Civil/Structural/MEP requirements and addressing issues during project execution.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Career-level position within the field, considered skilled and proficient in the discipline.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Highly skilled and proficient in civil/structural/MEP engineering.
• Ability to resolve a wide range of issues effectively.
