Position

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team on the Qiddiya Cliff Stabilisation Project. This role focuses on leading and coordinating cliff stabilization design activities across the Qiddiya development. The Design Manager will manage the interfaces between multiple design consultants and adjacent districts, requiring excellent coordination skills and preferably a technical background in geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage overlapping scopes of work between districts to avoid duplication and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain a design register and milestone tracker across all design packages.
  • Manage design development for the Cliff Stabilization Program in alignment with the Cliff Stabilisation Roadmap and Stage Gate process.
  • Coordinate input from specialist consultants, ensuring timely delivery of geotechnical design packages.
  • Draft design deliverables for each Stage Gate and assist in reviewing and consolidating inputs for submissions.
  • Liaise with district development teams to integrate cliff stabilization measures with adjacent plans.
  • Manage the technical review and approval process of consultant deliverables to ensure alignment with engineering standards and processes.
  • Support the development of design scopes, technical briefs, and RFPs for geotechnical contracts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (GIS, digital engineering, planning, delivery, etc.).
  • Lead design coordination meetings, resolving design clashes, and tracking actions to closure.
  • Manage all CRSs and ensure compliance with document control and digital engineering standards.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in design management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex, multi-disciplinary design teams and managing overlapping scopes.
  • Understanding of geotechnical design principles and associated risk management is beneficial.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
